New Review – REAPER’S PROPERTY by Joanna Wylde

Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.

As most people who follow me on my Blog or on Facebook, or Twitter will know that I’m a little obsessed with biker books. Having said that, I bought REAPER’S PROPERTY a little while before my obsession started and it ended up getting buried beneath hundreds of other books on my Kindle.

It wasn’t until my blog featured the prologue and and first chapter of REAPER’S PROPERTY that I thought “WOW! I really need to go back and read this book before the next one comes out.” So that’s exactly what I did. As soon as I had time to read a book that wasn’t an ARC, I searched my Kindle Library and settled down to a night with the Reaper’s Motorcycle Club. And what a night it was!

Horse is a member of the MC, and when computer geek Jeff gets into some bother with the club, his sister Marie is packed off with Horse until he can repay his debts. Having just escaped an abusive husband, the Reaper’s MC is really not the type of people Marie wants to be around, but Horse wants to make her his property and he’ll use every tool in his box to make that happen. Especially the one that earned him his nickname 😉

I was pretty much hooked from the start when it came to this book. There was no waiting around for the story to pick up, or for something big to happen that would grab my attention and make me want to know more. Because the story really did start right from the beginning, and my attention didn’t leave the pages once. I read this book in one sitting and loved every minute of it.

As biker books become more and more popular, a lot of authors have tried their hand at writing about the life of an MC but it’s not something that’s easily pulled off. Bikers can come across as too sappy and like a big fluffy bunny wearing a leather cut, or they can be real A-holes with no side to them to make you love and lust after them. But it seems pretty effortless to Joanna Wylde. The Reaper’s MC are the perfect mix of bad-ass, and sexy (oh so sexy), and you just know that when they make a woman their own, they’re gonna do it with their whole hearts.

REAPER’S PROPERTY is insanely sexy, angsty, gripping and completely addictive. A fantastic start to a series that I cannot wait to continue.
